Workshops and Consultation services

  • 30 Minute Workshops / Presentations / demonstrations / Single topic info-session

  • 60 minute Workshops / Presentations / demonstrations / two topics info-session

  • 120 minute Workshops / Presentations / demonstrations / multiple topics info-session, with a team building exercise surrounding emergency planning

  • 4 hour workshop with multiple topics / Demonstrations / non-certified training and strategy planning. Any topics surrounding Pre-hospital emergencies can be covered - the aim being to prepare for handling emergencies - not preventative health. (See “topics” Section)

    (1 Day: 8 hours) 3-year Certificate

  • Intermediate (Standard) First Aid (+ CPR component Select: A, C or Healthcare Provider) - Canadian Red Cross certified course
    (2-day: 16 hours) 3-year certificate: Contact for quote This course can also be completed as a blended program (online learning done at client’s leisure with 1-day in-facility skills training

  • HeartSaver Program (CPR/AED) - Heart and Stroke Foundation certified course (CPR-C) for non-medical / support staff
    1 year certificate

  • Advanced First Aid

  • Basic Life Support - Heart and Stroke Foundation certified course (formerly CPR for healthcare provider) for medical staff
    1 year certificate

  • heart and stroke foundation instructor course for BLS
    (we can also offer monitoring for instructor completion)

  • annual re certification training for all of the above

    * all certified training can be combined with workshops to make a full day session.

    * BLS can be taught for up to 24 people at one time in a place of the client’s choosing.

    * all certified training can be taught in-house through various methods such as blended learning (participants complete training online at their own pace and the skill portion is completed in a class setting.

* Mike and Chris are also able to act as consultants on emergency preparedness and protocols and Peter can act as a mental health liaison.

* the medtalks team also understands that sometimes things can’t be shared with the group and are therefore available privately to answer any sensitive questions or act as a liaison for healthcare professionals or mental health related inquiries.
